How does the Banjo Scale Harmonizer work?
The 5-string banjo uses Open G (gDGBD) as its standard tuning. The short fifth string is a drone tuned to G that rings as a tonic pedal in most bluegrass and old-time styles.
Select a root note and a scale to see all diatonic chords — triads and seventh chords — with chord diagrams for every position on the banjo fretboard.
Use the interactive fretboard diagram to visualize the full scale. The drone string (string 5) positions are highlighted distinctly.
